Anyway, I was on a flight where the lady in the row in front of me was working on a powerpoint presentation on marketing strategies of several gaming titles. And one that stood out the most was AC4: Black Flags, aimed for release 2013 Holiday season according to her slide. It already had a cool looking logo for it.Unfortunately I didn't take any photo, just wanted to share it with all the AC fans, and give those who are trying to figure out the next story line a little hint.EDIT: thanks everyone for the nice karma and comments! It feels good to be able to contribute a bit to one of my favourite game ( I still need to play AC3 though.)Edit2: thanks everyone for the heads up about kotaku's article!
That logo is exactly the same one I saw on that flight. I'm glad I didn't turn out to be a big fat liar. I like the idea of the AC series moving into the Civil War era, but I gotta say I'd be disappointed if Ubisoft moved away from Connor's story so soon. There's still so much room for his character's development (i.e., involvement in the French Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and the fact that Juno - IIRC near the end of the game - hinted that Connor still had significant things in his future). Not to mention, we got to see the full life story of Altair and Ezio, from their days as an Assassin until their death. I think Connor deserves the same complete character treatment. Now, if AC moved to the Civil War with one of Connor's descendants and the game did something akin to what AC: Revelations did with flashbacks to Connor's life until his death, that might work. But it would not be original and I don't want to see the series start repeating a formula.
